Compact RIO 2023 & legacy Crio Controllers

Solved!
Go to solution

We have an existing setup working on Crio-9014 (Legacy) which is currently running our existing system. We would like to make modifications to the existing system and upgrade it to the newer versions of Labview. We intend to use LabVIEW 2023, therefore we will require CompactRio 2023 driver.

We are planning to use a Crio-9023 (Legacy) controller so that we can use the same extension chassis setup for testing without having to hamper the code in the Crio-9014 controller.

Does compactrio 2023  support legacy crio controllers?

Hi linu,

Why?

Is there a specific reason to upgrade the IDE, when there is an existing code base in an older LabVIEW version (including correctly installed RT module with device drivers)?

(cRIO9014 is only supported upto LV2018, cRIO9023 upto LV2019…)

Best regards,

No! Support for cRIO with Pharlap and VxWorks operating system was completely discontinued after CompactRIO 19.6. This also means that you have to use LabVIEW 2019 SP1 or earlier. For specific models it was even earlier: 900x is only supported until CompactRIO 16.0, 901x up to CompactRIO 18.5, 902x, 907x and 908x up to CompactRIO 19.6, except the 9072 which was discontinued after CompactRIO 16.0.
