Conflict with VeriSTAND Application While Connecting to Target in LabVIEW

While attempt to connect to a PXI target in LabVIEW, I get the following conflict...

My labmate says it is part of the OS and should not be stopped. Is this true? Is there a way around this conflict?

Hello swbpbae,

The Real-Time Startup Application is an executable that has been configured to launch on boot of your real-time controller. It is not a part of the OS and is instead a user-created application. Unless you are relying on the execution of the Real-Time Startup Application, you should be fine to abort the application and continue with the deployment.
