Connecting a Chemyx fusion 4000X Syringe pump to labview

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I currently got a Fusion 4000x Syringe pump and I have been trying to connect it to LabVIEW using the drivers provided by the company. All the examples from the company gives me an error. does anyone have a modified example that I can use with my pump? Also, every time I try to scan devices it doesn't show any devices connected.  I'm kind of new using LabVIEW. my pump is connected to my pc through a usb-b to usb cable. I have attached the manual of the pump.

I installed the drivers and didn't received any errors.

Make sure you have installed the  VIPM (VI Package Manager) VIPM - Download

You need to install the drivers from this page

LabVIEW™ Driver for Chemyx Smart Syringe Pumps

Just did. Now I get a notification saying that the syringe pump can’t be detected.

Did you select the correct port before running the program?

Yes, I selected the right port. When i hit run should I click on something on the syringe pump? to make the pump run by the computer? also, there's no more errors in drivers' examples. only thing is that nothing happens when I hit run on LabVIEW.

Check the device manager : it will show what ports are detected in your computer.

Did you check the system settings of the pump ? (page 27). Are you using DB 9 or USB on the syringe  ?
