Connecting a pressure transducer to NI 9237

Hello everyone. I must connect a pressure transducer with 5 pin output Pin.png

and i have a rj50 pin DAQ device NI 9237, so i must connect pins (2 to 2) (3 to 3) (6 to 1) and (7 to 4) according to the datasheet:

Can i start to test my device in the test panel after i making these connections ?, or is there anything else i must be aware of ?

No.. I will connect it within few hours, but i'm not sure about the procedure. Is there anyting else i should do ?.

What Pressure Transducer is it? Is it a half bridge, full bridge or quater bridge?

No idea. I have written to Edwards.com and they didn't answer me.

Thanks for you reply, I will need to see the datasheet for the transducer so I can see this information. Normally I would expect some resistance (R+ and R-) to be wired to the 9237 as well.

I have got an answer from Edwards:

 

Yes, all of Edwards transducers use full “Wheatstone” bridge technology on the silicone chip with additional temperature compensation circuitry contained on the ceramic mounting substrate.

 

They have only 5 pins output, so i dont think there are any resistive pins.

Then it looks like a full bridge configuration from his answer. It then looks correct what you have drawn. Note that you might need to configure the resistance in the software to get correct reading. See below cut out and reference::

When working with the NI 9237, there are three possible configurations:

  1. Full Bridge
    When measuring a full bridge sensor, all four legs of the Wheatstone bridge are external to the NI 9237. While the nominal resistance of the strain gage (Typically 350 or 120 Ohms) will need to be configured in software so that the measurement is scaled properly, the NI 9237 is simply measuring differential voltage, and therefore no resistance specification is necessary

If you are trying to verify the reading the please remember that the 9237 will output in V/V and not in V see below reference:

did you manage to read pressure from the sensor?

I am trying to acquire the signal using a 6009 but still doesn't work!
