My test setup has 70 strain gages and is reading perfectly using DAQ assistant in Labview 2010. The gages are calibrated in DAQ Assistant using the onboard shunt resistors. After calibrating the gages, I would like to access the cal information; where is this file located?
Thanks

What hardware are you using to do this?
With a cDAQ chassis with a 9205 module I was able to perform a calibration. After I clicked finish in the calibration procedure, on the calibration tab I was able to select calibration properties and there was a button on the pop up window that appeared that says "Generate Report". Clicking this button generated a calibration report and allowed the user to input a file path where this report is saved. Does this work with your hardware?

Thanks for the reply Matt.
The hardware is SCXI 1000 chassis with SCXI1521 module (24 channel 350ohm strain gage conditioner) and a SCXI1317 terminal. The chassis is connected to the PC via USB and SCXI1600.
I noticed that if I calibrate using my own shunt resistor, a report can be written. This would be the “calibrate” tab in the strain setup.
When I use the on-board shunt resistors to cal, located in the “device” tab, the report option does not appear. The advantage is that all the gages are cal'd at once in a few minutes.
I was hoping to avoid calibrating each gage individually.
Thanks,
Ralph

Well.... I successfully calibrated a strain gage using my own external shunt cal resistor in the "calibration" tab of the strain setup. Problem is that DAQ Assistant locks up when I try to write a report. I am able to regain control using windows task manager and cancelling the process.
At this point I will need to write down all the cal info by hand unless someone has a suggestion.
Thanks

can you please tell us your daq assist configuration ?

Kudos for trying to help, but the post you're replying to is 10 years old. 😉
