I have just installed Labview 2015 along with the supplied drivers, but the DAQmx icons are missing...
It was done in the correct sequence i.e. Labview first, then Drivers, followed by a reboot. I have tried a subsequent re-install, but no success. Any ideas? It doesn't not appear to be a compatibility issue.

I'm wondering if when you installed the Device Drivers, you installed DAQmx, but the box to add support to LabVIEW 2015 (or 2106) wasn't checked.
I'd think it would be checked by default if it sees them already installed.
Try installing the Device Drivers DVD again and check the settings for what is being installed.

Same problem with Labview 2016 and NI-DAQmx Device Driver.

Have you tried reinstalling the device driver DVD yet?

When the installer is re-run it does not re-install the driver if it is already installed. So it appears that it is necessary to uninstall it first. But the only uninstall option is to uninstall all National Instruments software, not just the driver. So, to answer your question, not yet, that process will take a while.

I would've thought it would go far enough so you'd see the dialog and be able to add or subtract what gets installed.

Yeah I found that. Uninstalling it now.

Uninstalled NI-DAQmx 17.0 and installed NI-DAQmx 16.0 and now I can see the DAQmx Icon in Measurement IO.

Thanks guys, all sorted now.
I didn't realize that DAQmx was already up to date (16.0) when I went and installed LabView 2015, so adding the drivers had no effect.
Bit annoying though. You would have though the installer would be intelligent enough to know, and tell you you need to uninstall your 2GB worth of drivers, so you can then re-install it!
