Today, Christina posted about the Navigation Window on her Eyes on VIs blog. The Navigation Window (introduced in LabVIEW 7.1) is a great feature for browsing large VI panels and diagrams. I figured I would write a quick nugget today about a little-known configuration option for the Navigation Window that Christina added at my request. I often found dragging the view box within the Navigation Window to be too choppy, so Christina added an INI token that allowed me to tweak its update rate:
NavigationWindowScrollInterval=[value in milliseconds]
The default rate is 50 milliseconds. My INI token is set to 5 milliseconds. With this value, I find dragging the view box within the Navigation Window to be nice and smooth.
