I did a quick test of the patch, and it appears to be working fine on my end.  Thank you very much!

...now, to get the mixed signal graph visual bugs resolved... LV 8.2 worked fine...since 8.5....not so good.

The patch didn't seem to work for me the first couple times I ran it.  It said the files unzipped successfully, but then gave me a LabVIEW is not working correctly when it tried to run LabVIEW.

I started to suspect there was an issue with the installer since I have Vista Home Premium 64 bit on my home PC.  So I ran it again and pointed the installer to  C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6 instead of the default C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6

It seemed to unzip the files and work correctly then.  The Data entry page problems are fixed.

Out of curiosity, what was the cause of the original data entry dialog box problem?

It's probably best to avoid calling our developers out publicly on the specifics of thier bugs - I'm sure you'll understand 🙂

I don't understand why there cannot be an explanation. As we are all humans (as I suppose you are) we can make mistakes.

Do you have the bug/CAR ID for that specific issue?  Did you report it on the forums?

I'm really quite surprised that this was not resolved in the 8.6.1 patch.  Anyone who has placed the mixed signal graph on a front panel since 8.6 and has actually used it will see the problem.  It is a shame too, because this is the most runtime flexible graph control in LabVIEW atm.

We hear you! 🙂  I can't be more specific about release schedules, but just know that your concern has been heard and addressed.

Chris,

I think you you ve not yet answered Albert Gevens... Smiley Wink

We dont want NI to wash dirty linen out in the public, but we all just want to know what was the cause for the new dirt.

I think as LabVIEW & other NI products' users all these years, we have the right to ask and NI should be gentle enough to give a detailed explanation.
