Database toolkit VIs not found when opening in 8.6

When I open a VI that uses the database toolkit in 8.6 the VIs are not found when LabView searches. If I manually find the VIs when asked within the addons/database directory the VIs work okay but there are many VIs to be found. We have lots of VIs that use the toolkit and mass compile fails on these VIs. Why doesn't the search find these VIs now?

I'm not sure why they wouldn't be found automatically (unless someone has mucked around wiht your search paths), but once you find them and resave the calling VI(s) you shouldn't need to go through the call process again. Also the warning dialog that comes up at the end of the load will tell you where LV was expecting to find them - which might give you a clue as to what is going on.

Robert,

Did you select to install the database tookit during your LV 8.6 installation?  If you had a previous verion of the tookit and did not select to install it again with your LV 8.6 installation you would see this behavior.  One of the new features of LV8.6 is that the tookits are specific to each installation.
