Delay when the frequency of a tone is changed

Dear forum users,

I have a problem with the generation of a tone with variable frequency.

I do this as in the attached program.

The problem is the following:

When I change the frequency, it does not change immediately. There is a delay until the change can be heard.

How can I get rid of the delay/how can I make it smaller?

I would be very happy about every help!

Hi! 

Change number of samples/ch in Sound Output Configure to let say 500. That should do the trick;)

Yes, this tricks works very well!

I only had to increase the number of samples/ch to 750, otherwise I hear at e.g. 500 some clicking noise.

But with 750 there is neither a clicking noise nor a recognizable delay!
