Diasy Chain Configuration Crio

Solved!

Hi am designing a system using Crio-9046 and 5 extension chassis 9145 along with SLSC-12001 Chassis,

As per my understanding, I connect Primary Ethernet connector of the Crio-9076 to the Host PC using an Ethernet Cable and the Secondary LAN connector to the IN Ethernet Port on one of the Crio9145 extension chassis, subsequently connecting the OUT Ethernet port of the first Crio-9145 to the IN port of second Crio-9145.

My question is how do I connect the SLSC-12001 with the Crio? Do I plug the OUT port of the last Crio-9145 to the LAN port of SLSC-12001.

This is my first time using SLSC platform.

I have not an operative knowledge of such devices, however I see that SLSC-12001 has an Ethernet interface, not an Ether-CAT one. Therefore, I would connect master PC, cRIO-9076 (primary) and SLSC-12001 by means of an Ethernet switch. The key point is that Ether-CAT and Ethernet should not be mixed.

So you are suggesting to get a Network Switch like TP-Link. Connect the Crio-9046, PC & SLSC-12001 to the network switch and then connect the Crio-9046 to the Crio-9145 Chassis and in a daisy chain.

My PC has only 2 Ethernet Slots so can I connect PC, Crio-9046 & SLSC Chassis to Network Switch & then connect the Crio-9145 in daisy chain with Crio-9046?

Yes. Isolating the measurement system on its own exclusive local network is the best option.
