Hiya,
I'm playing with trying to send an email using LabVIEW via office 365. So far I've not got very far! When I try sending via my own account using the regular office 365 smtp server and port, enable TLS and enter my account username and password, I get an error claiming my email and password dont match (they very much do). I suspect it may have something to do with the account using multifactor authentication, but I'm not 100% sure.
Anyways, I did some reading on the MS website and found this:
Option 2 sounds interesting as it allows internal only email and doesnt seem to require the same degree of authentication... however, when I followed the instructions and tried to send an internal test email, I got no error messages from the labview example, but I also didnt receive the email... I'm still using the SMTP email example that ships with LabVIEW 2021 for this, so I dont know if that's where I'm going wrong.
Has anyone else played with this? My initial use case is to send an email notification to me when a particular process has completed somewhere, so internal email only is fine.
Thanks!
Paul
