I have installed the LabVIEW 2024 Q3 and the device drivers (latest available i.e. DVD-Jan-19-1) and several times did the repair process and re-installation. But still I cannot use IEC61850 driver, and opening even examples from NI it throws an error of:
- This VI needs a driver or toolkit component that is not found. Missing resource file "IEC61850Client.rc".
Indeed I have less example with respect to the LabVIEW 2018. I wonder what is missing and if I have to follow certain installation sequence, what that could be.

Latest device drivers are 2024 and you're installing 5 year old drivers.
Which VI or application uses IEC61850? it does not sound like a standard NI device driver

Hello Santosh and thanks for the reply.
There are even NI examples of IEC61850 MMS telecommunication that you may find in Example Finder, and they are standard VI.
I first certainly installed NI-Industrial Communications for IEC 61850 Download - NI driver.
Where can I find 2024 Device Drivers? Looing in NI Device Drivers Download - NI I thought 2019 is the latest. This is what I see.
Cheers,

Hi
NI has a bad habit of tricking people.
What you see was the latest release of a bundle of software :
NI apparently decided to stop releasing drivers as a bundle. And did so in 2019.
Look for download of the individual drivers NI-DAQmx, NI-VISA, NI-SCOPE, and NI-SWITCH as needed.

Hi,
Thank you very much for this interesting hint.
However, I did the update from NI Package Manager and I see these drivers are upgraded to 2024 Q4. Shouldn't that solve the issue?
Best regards,
H

Hi again
Using NI Package Manager is the modern procedure promoted by NI.
I prefer the old fashioned way downloading the often huge complete driver(s) offline and then install :
The offline download option will probably vanish in the future. NI has introduced changes to the procedure lately for some products.

Thanks for your indications!
So you suggest the problem is the way of installation of drivers and I better to manually download each driver and install them.
Since several times I uninstalled/re-installed LabVIEW and all drivers, and that takes time, isn't there any other thing that I could check before?!
Also because I am seeing this error while using particular driver i.e. IEC61850, I am not sure the problem is which driver and which ones are necessary. I actually downloaded the only available driver of IEC61850 protocol and installed it (which required LabVIEW 32bit too).
Thanks again for your kind support.
