I've restarted my computer. I run arduino and could upload a program, but when I've opened hyperterminal just after, there were no readings. I closed it and wanted to turn it on again, but error occured. Same with uploading. Port is visible in DM and in Arduino IDE. I have just recconected cable to another socket, and to my surprise it didn't disappear from DM and Arduino IDE (as it did in the past) What is more, I can open hyperterminal and I managed to upload a program. I have opened hyperterminal again, but there are no readings, error is occuring again. I repluggeg again, and COM disappeared. I have plugget to the 1st socket again and I can see the COM port (as if plugging to other socket refreshed whole thing.) I uploaded program and opened terminal, got 5 readings and afther that they stop appearing.
I'm not a specialist, but this seems to me as usb drivers or cable issue. Or arduino socket (as both usb socket in my laptop seem to work at different times, but still work, I plug my mice there and it always work).
I get the impression it is getting worse and worse with every attempt. I couldn't check the "plugging projector" thing, as my last posts all describe situation after computer restart, with only arduino ide being used

Considering the behaviour of the programs that you described above, this doesn't seem the be VISA problem. VISA error just says that the resource is not available.
This problem seems to be with the drivers/cable from Arduino to PC.
Try to uninstall all Arduino drivers and to reinstall them, change the cable for the arduino.
If you have the posibility, try on another computer the arduino platform or try with another arduino platform.
