Error Cluster Bug Report (LV 2011)

Hi X:

The recommended way to get the Boolean value out of a cluster is to use the standard unbundle or the unbundle-by-name functions.  I am looking into the compile error and I'll file a corrective action report if it's not already known.

Thanks!

That is the old way.

LV has gotten better since the day when we had to unbundle the boolean and wire to a case structure etc.

Thanks Kevin4Truth... So after the "expected" behavior, we now have the "recommended way". I really should start reading the manual!

There is a time and a place to post these minor nuisance bugs in LV with easy reporting and an audience with the people who care and can do something about them. Follow the floated link to the beta board and sign up. Sometimes things are already fixed ;).

BTW what is wrong with a compact error cluster to Boolean subVI?

I couldn't agree more. Moreover I think the whole idea of a signature is annoying. Which is why I turned the option of displaying signatures off. As a matter of fact, even the idea of avatars irritates me. In particular those which try to be original and poke fun at... now I am getting in trouble!

I'm with you on that one! (cough cough hack hack)

I agree that no user actions (short of type casting) should crash LV.

It's an extra thing to worry about when upgrading, migrating, etc. I'd rather use dirty but native tricks.
