Error messages when using Brooks SmartDDE under WinXP

I receive some error messages (for example: Stack fault at position...) when
I try to use Brooks SmartDDE 1.2 under WinXP.
I need to control three DMFCs by means of some Excel macros calling
SmartDDE.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

I found another discussion forum post that may help you out some.  It is titled Brooks SmartDDE communication problem.  Hope this helps.

I suggest you abandon using Excel as a data acquisition environment.

That is like using an inverted Corvette as a sled. Sure it may work for short straight trips but don't expect it to handle the curves very well.

Follow the link provided by Brian for more reading on how to use LV (a bobsled) to do this task.
