GIF Image not animating in exe

Hi Ppl,

I was using a GIF animation in a boolean button. The animation was working fine in the VI. When I built the exe out of it, the animation animates only when I move my mouse over it. My exe is using around 50% of the processor usage. Could this be the problem.

Thanks

Hi, What version of LV are you using?

And do you see this behaviour when running the exe on your development machine?

I'm using LabVIEW 8.6. Yes I'm having this problem when I run this code in my development system.

I have attached a VI which contains the button with animation. Now I seem to have the problem even with VI's.

I see the GIF animation just fine in LV2009 in edit mode, in run mode, and in the built application.

On my system it works with 8.6.1 and 2009 without problems in development and as exe without problems too.

Does this happen only with this anim gif or with every anim gif?

Have you made sure that 'Play animated images' is ticked in the Tools / Options / Front Panel settings?

Yes, I have enabled the option. This problem is not consistent. Is GIF file animation depended on CPU usage. My application uses around 50%.

You said it's not consistent.

Does this mean that it works with other anim gifs, or that it works with whatever anim gif from time to time?

Btw, I can run a VI with 100% with five anim gifs which are still animated, so I don't think it's realted to the processor usage.
