Are you saying that this driver didn't work:

https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-488-2.html#467646

Or are you saying that you installed that driver but you still can't use your device?

If the second, can you include screenshots from device manager and NI-MAX showing what errors you get?

I'm not saying that what happened to me is the same as your issue, just something to consider if you buy from second-hand sources

.

We bought one of these devices off eBay, I think.  Hooked it up to the PC and installed the drivers but we were not getting any input from the instrument that was hooked up to it.  We swapped out the GPIB-USB device for a known good one and everything worked.  Turns out the one we bought off eBay was a knock-off.  I don't remember how we discovered this (maybe thru a serial # lookup or just thru deduction) but looking back, there were slight differences between the two devices, things you wouldn't even notice without a side-by-side comparison. The main differences were on the serial label, it didn't appear to be an official NI label when compared to other devices from NI.  It was close but there were things missing.  The device itself looked almost identical with the main difference being the font used for "National Instruments" being slightly off.

Well, i downloaded that driver for labview 2022 Q4 version although i have 2022 Q3 but it is not available. When started installation, it said no operation to be performed, but driver does not show up in device manager and USB - GPIB is not active, so, while inotializing the function generator, labview cannot read address. I made sure that address is correct.

In more recent versions of the driver software, they added a check for counterfeit hardware.  Not sure if they disabled the hardware or not if found to be counterfeit.
