Hi Mathan,
Thank you for your reply. I read the article and it is about exporting gerber files from Ultiboard. What I want to do is to import this in LabVIEW and do several instructions (assembly, inspection, or motor movement) using the coordinates in a gerber file.

Hey,
This is exactly the same programm i need to make using labview.
My experience with labview is as good as none... but writing the programm in labview is a must.
I was wondering if anyone is still working on this project.
If so, please contact me, maybe we can use each others experience and research.
There was a previouse project group at our school who made the beginning part of the project.
One person already wrote a code which extracts the usefull data from the Gerber file (X and Y coordinated and surface area of the pads). I will attach this file in this post.
The problem is: it is not working...
I hope to see a response from anyone!

JanTromp,
It looks like the original posters haven't come back to this thread since 2013, it might be best to try opening a new thread of your own to get some attention to your question. I'm not too familiar with this gerber files but I know the community over at the Multisim/Ultiboard forums have a bit of experience, it is possible that some of them have worked with gerber files inside of LabVIEW!
That forum can be found over at http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multisim-and-Ultiboard/bd-p/370
Best of luck,
Brandon
