Graph with x axis (timestamp) plot with vertical text

Dear all,

Is it possible to plot the horizontal x axis with vertical text? The x axis is timestamp data.

Is it also possible to search for a particular range of timestamp period and plot out only the required range of timestamp specified by the user? The reason for doing this is my graph may consist of many points and the x axis timestamp may not be visible with many points.

Anyone can help on this and give your best reccomendations to do the above application?
