Guidance Needed: Connecting 16 AI Channels (RSE Mode) Using NI 6363X BNC and Screw Terminals

Hi,

Firstly, I apologize for any disturbance caused by my message. I am currently trying to collect data from 16 AI channels (RSE mode) with an external trigger on APFI0.

So far, I have successfully collected data from AI0 to AI7 using the BNC terminals. However, I am facing confusion regarding the connections for the remaining channels. On the BNC panel, it appears that after AI7, the next available AI channels are AI16 to AI23, while AI8 to AI15 seem to be missing.

On the screw terminal side, I noticed that the pins are labeled as P0.x, P1.x, P2.x, and so on, which does not clearly correspond to the AI channels. For the external trigger, I have connected APFI0 and AI GND on the screw terminal.

Could you please guide me on how to connect and access AI8 to AI15 (RSE mode) using the available screw terminal pins?

By default the BNC are connected considering that the AD is reading channels in differential mode, 

basically the BNC termination AI0,  is connected to both AI 0 and AI8 in differential mode.

You will need to have access to both signals to each BNC connector and treat them as AI, ASSUMING you are configuring your AD as RSE

Sorry for the delayed response, and thank you for getting back to me. Regarding BNC connections, to obtain data points from both channels in RSE mode, should I switch to FS or GS?

If you don’t mind, could you please guide me on how to connect 16 AI channels using screw terminals in RSE mode?
