From the picture, your Visa resource is empty. Your report file path is empty too.

Both probably need a reasonable value, right?

(Also, there is absolutely no reason to maximize the front panel and diagram to the screen)

what hardware or device are you using to connect to LabVIEW? If you can share that info and maybe your code as well, it would be helpful for us to help.
but make sure your file path and visa resource are not empty as mentioned by Mr. Altenbach.

so 1. know what hardware/device you are using.

2. Know what com port your device is using. This can be checked if you open device manager.
