How I can create complex decoration group with color change option ?

Solved!
Go to solution
Hi all,

Version: Labview 8.5

I have a followed problem. There is many decorations on my front panel and I have to update front panel quite often. I have to also change most objects color online. My present solution is based on using decoration property. Only problem is that when I add new decoration I have to update code. This is very frustrating because there is hundred decoration objects. I know that one solution is use e.g. boolean control and change its faceplate. Problem is that I need more than two color option. Is there any way to create group of decorations which have a property node or other structure to change color?

Veikko,

An old joke from my youth was told using an index card.

On the front side it had the text;

How do you keep an idiot busy? (Turn over)

On that back side it contained the same text.

Please check the link you provided.

Ben,

I just remembered unforgettable words from cult movie Ford Fairlane
"You're 10 seconds away from the most embarrasing moment in your life."..

Forgive me, it  was early morning post..

Now I´m not even sure if this what I meant to send will help SnowForest.

Can I link a property node to a group of controls:

Answer was build  a XControl. Only add decos to XControl facade and simply code to change colors.
