How can I count the number of rising and falling edges at the same time

Hi

Using CI Cnt Edges I can count the number of rising or falling edges but I would like to count the number of rising "and"  falling edges at the same time by using only one counter input channel. Is it possible to count both edges in one channel?

Hello,

Generally speaking, you would need to use two counters for this task configured for alternate edges and sum them together. But the method varies depending on the hardware you are using.

Could you provide some further information on the hardware you are using and the application itself? Are you using a quadrature encoder of some sort?
