How can I store the sum from a numeric function for use after it has changed?

Please be more descriptive over what you're trying to do. Body of message. Large area. Let the muse in you out.

 

I honestly don't understand what you're asking. If I had to guess it sounds like you want is a shift register, but I can't be sure since I don't know what you're doing.

To be clearer, I am trying to write a program which monitors 4 current lines and then switches 1 off when the sum off all 4 exceeds a limit.

The problem I'm having is when my limit is reached, one of the lines is switched off as intended but this causes the total to drop below the limit which in turn causes the cut off line to switch back on, then off, and then continue to toggle.

Any help appreciated.
