How do hold the peak ponits or valley?

Dear All,

I have a sampled wave, then I want detect the peak points (or valley points) and hold the point until next peak points (or valley points) appears.

Now I can use the example "Peak Detector.vi" to get the points I want.

But I don't know how to put the data to the graph. The attached picture shows the idea I want.

If you need more detail to solve my problem, plz tell me, thank you so much!!

i have a doubt on what you want to do :

Are you trying to operate a smith trigger function and outing signal is binary ?

or level of peaks/valley are significants and you want to hold levels as a zero order blocker ?

The input singal of DAQ is sampled from a analog singal. Not schmitt trigger.

i think there is a misunderstanding, i see that sampled signal is analog .

i would like to know if your green signal on graph has 2 levels , if so you,  the function you need is a smith trigger vi

here is one way 

detecting all pics index to build parts of array with each min/max value then assembling them

tell if it works
