How to disable the "Load Warning Summary" dialog box in LabVIEW?

Hello everyone,

I'd like to disable the "Load Warning Summary" dialog box in LabVIEW (from LV 2009).

This dialog box appears when you try to load a VI marked as a warning by LabVIEW.

(see the joint image file)

No option in the Tools >> Options dialog box is available to do that.

Do you have some solution?

Thank you,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

the warning box will/should go away after saving the VI... Have you tried to save the VI in it's apparently new context?

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi GerdW,

The fact is that the dialog box always shows up when you open/load the VI (at the end of the conflict resolution process).

If you have a lot of conflicted VIs to load, you will obtain the same amount of dialog boxes... which is a little annoying.

So how can I save the VI before trying opening it? (I use a Project file window)

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

you have to save all VIs after loading the project...

As you already resolve conflicts: why do they happen? Do you often copy VIs from one location to the next?

Best regards,
GerdW

GerdW,

You cannot save conflicted VIs after loading the project, as they are marked as warning...

You have to open them before in order to resolve conflicts, and after that, the mentioned dialog box appears, before any saving is possible.

Conflicts happened as I move the library file which contains these VIs.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

why do you move the library?

You can resolve conflicts without opening the VIs: right-click the marked Vis and select the menu entry "resolve conflicts"...

GerdW

GerdW,

I'm sorry but the menu entry "resolve conflicts" does not appear in the context menu when tou right-click a marked VI.

It appears when you right-click the library file.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Hi Jedjed,

The best is to handle the warning source.

Then, did you try to disable the automatic error handling and the debugging  after opening the conflictual VI? (see picture).
