Not sure to whom your question applies.  RavensFan says that, for him, gmail seems to work, but for me, it does not.  This may be due to the environments under which we work, but I also tried to get gmail to work from my home with my personal laptop (which has fewer restrictions than my machines at work), and gave up.  I might go visit RavensFan (he's about an hour away from me) and see how he does it ...

I got it working, the example that for sure works is attached below.

Try ports 587 and 465 for Gmail. (smtp.gmail.com)

If it does not work try enabling or disabling SSL.

It should definitely work at home. Also allow your Gmail for external apps.

For work get your works internal stmp."work".com STMP address and Port and also try enable and disable SSL.

Thanks.  I'm running tests now.  I tried with the parameters you had set as the defaults, and got the following Error Message with information that I don't quite know how to process.  I'm also "on the road", so may not have as good a Network Path as I would at home or work, so I'll continue more exhaustive tests when I'm back home.

But if you could shed light on this Error Message (and, to use a phrase, "tell me where to go"), I'd be grateful.

The free servers is closed... gmail etc - authorising problem.  But many free smtp server working... Sendinblue - its working 2023 . with VI express email block...

You can stil use Gmail to send email, but you can't use the "Less Secure App" mode.  You need to enable 2-step authentication, then create an app password and use that app password in your VI rather than your regular password.
