How to trigger a device using DAQmx and NI 9401?

Hi all,

I am trying to trigger a device in labview by creating a sudden increase in voltage from 0 to 5. I have cDAQ9172 and NI 9401 on slot 6. I have installed DAQmx.9.7 on my computer. 

I read the help and found an example in "hardware input and output/DAQmx/generating digital pulses/Gen Dig Pulse.vi", when I run it I get the following error: 

Error -200220 occurred at DAQmx Create Channel (CO-Pulse Generation-Time).vi:1

I also tried to create a global virtual channel or a any task to write my own labview code but No supported devices are found in the physical channels section of data neighborhood. I really do not know what is the problem.

Hello!
Could you make the same in the test panel from Measurement & Automation Explorer. May be you are not fully configurate your device?
Remind, that you haven't Counter Output channels on your device http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/ru/nid/208809, and you can't using retriggering mode with some counter.
