I can't handle keithley 224 driver with labview. Help me, please.

Solved!

Hi, my name is Kim Yonghyun.

I am studying physics at the university of seoul.

I use Keithley 224 Current Source.

I would like to deal with the LabVIEW program (v2011) for the Keithley224.

I try to use the driver provided by Keithley, but, Keithley224 does not recognize the command.

Active LED on GPIB-USB-HS did not even turn on .

V-limit, Source, Dwell time, none of the commands that are not getting delivered.

I attach here the vi file provided by Keithley.

If you need more information for solving this problem, then please tell me.

Thank you very much.

Hi panda,

do you use the correct GPIB address for that VI?

Did you check the presence of the device in MAX? It should be listed under your GPIB controller with it's device address number (after switching on and searching for devices...)!

With recent versions of LabVIEW you should use VISA functions instead of the old "direct" GPIB calls.

Best regards,
GerdW

First, thank you for your help.

I'm already check that the machine's address had 19.

Also, I check NI VISA that included in NI MAX.

Two phrase and strange hexadecimal code output repeatedly.

Hi panda,

show a screenshot of your MAX...

Under GPIB you should see a list of connected (and switched-on) devices!

Try to send a "*IDN?" command to your K224...

Best regards,
GerdW

Sorry, I can't take a screenshot today.

Because, I'm going home now.

I send a '*IDN' then receive value of Source and V-limit, dwell time.

Machine doesn't send a profile infomation but parameter.

Unfortunately, I can't remember exact message.
(blah0.0e-6 blah3 blah50e-3)

That was initial value of keithley224.(source, v-limit, dwell time)

Tomorrow is Independence Day in the Republic of Korea.

So, I will take a screenshot the day after tomorrow.

I will post question that include more infomation about this problem, too.

Thank you for your kindness.
