I cannot build an installer for my program

Solved!

I have no device drivers disk. I downloaded everything from the NI website.

I have both the Visa and the 488 installed. I even went to NIs website this morning to install them again, just in case, but the NI utility said that the latest version was already installed.

If I need to tell LabView where the 488 and Visa drivers are, where do I tell it to look?

Unfortunately I can not post the project. It contains proprietary information

Pay attention. You must copy the actual installer, not just install the driver. Once you have a local copy, when prompted, just browse to the location if you choose anything other than the default.

I am paying attention. If you will see, I do not know which installer it wants. It does not tell me which installer. Even if it did, where do I find the installer?

If you haven't been able to figure it out by now, I am new to LabView and do not know all of the intricate in's and out's that is required. If I did, I wouldn't need to ask for help from the forum.

LabView want's me to tell it where some installer is, but it does not tell me which one. How can I know what it wants?

I have attached again the screen that I am getting. All LabView is telling me is that it wants system components. What system components? I do not know. It does not tell me.

Can you strip out anything proprietary and post the zipped up project?

When creating your installer under the Category "Additional Installers" select the check boxes next to your Labview Runtime Version and also anything "NI-488.2" (GPIB) related and also anything "NI-VISA" related. If you want NIMax in order to see you VISA ports and GPIB controller select "NI DAQmx Runtime" and "NI DAQmx Runtime w/ Configuration Support" .

On newer versions of Labview there is a check box at the top of the "Additional Installers" window for "Automatically select recommended installers" but I have seen that not work 100% of the time.
