Hi Puneet,
Thanks for posting. It sounds like there's a problem with your NI System Web Server. NI system web server is a service that LabVIEW launches on startup which opens TCP/IP ports to communicate with other NI applications, namely the NI Example Finder. If LabVIEW cannot start NI System Web Server you may also have problems with other NI Programs associated with LabVIEW such as Measurement and Automation Explorer.
To check to see if you can start the NI System Web Service click on Start>> Run... then type in "services.msc". From here scroll down to NI System Web Server, right click and select "Start".
If it has already started try restarting it.
If that doesnt work try turning Windows Firewall off and restarting the NI System Web Server.
Failing that, this issue has been know to occur after a software repair, if this is the case you may have to re-repair your software to re-register it. Some more information on this can be found in this forum thread.

Nice, it worked. I opened services.msc, and realize that NI System Web Server is disabled. However I don't know why in LabVIEW 2012 to open an example is needed to run Web Server. Hope my examples are installed locally, so when I will not have access to the internet, the examples still will open.

Hi Armen,
Don't worry, your examples are not stored online, and you do not need an internet connection to gain access to them. They are contained in a folder where the LabVIEW program is stored, in most cases this is the Program Files directory on the C drive. NI System web server is a service that runs in the background that enables LabVIEW to communicate with other application instances on your local computer and does not require an internet connection.
I hope this answers your question.

Hello,
I have the same problem, but the proposed solutions are not working for me. I can view a list of examples, but when I try to open any of them, after a while it gives me a message "An error occured - The NI System Web Server is not running". I checked that system web server is running and also tried to restart it, but nothing worked.
Thanks for any help

Hi miso2562,
If it is already running then it is most likely your firewall that is blocking the System Web Server from communicating with LabVIEW. Try turning off your Windows firewall and any additional firewalls that you may have.

Hello,
thanks, examples work ok now. My antivirus was the problem.
