Index Digital waveform by name not working

So after a lot of back and forth with the NI tech support person they finally agreed that this is a bug. When they went to enter a bug report they say that there was already a bug report on this entered.

4/19/2022 - Follow up. I just upgraded to LabView 2021 only to find out that this bug was not corrected. It's a super simple bug but the report may have hit their system too late to correct. According to Wikipedia LabView 2021 was released in August 2021.

Of course it took me a bit to discover and remember the details and get it corrected by editing NI's VI (not a great solution, I know).

I have asked for specifics on the bug report that was already in the system.

Hi flycast,,

there's one more item to keep in mind for digital waveforms:

There are also NI_LineNames…

Best regards,

Thanbks for that. The default LabView vi uses "ChannelName" rather than NI_ChannelName".

Where can we see bug reports?

NI doesn't publish bug report lists. I mentioned the Bug number so you can reference it in conversations with NI tech support, cross-checking known issues list, release notes, etc.

FYI this bug is currently on R&D's radar for fixing in a future LabVIEW release.
