Is there a way to change the font size in the icon editor in LabVIEW?

In fact, in general, has anyone found a good solution to generating icons for all their subVI? It seems like anyone that wants to have a somewhat readable top-level needs to have a quick and easy way to generate semi-descriptive icons.

In icon editor, you can double click on the font symbol (A) and it will popup a dialoge box for you to set the size.
However there is a minimun limit to the size and after that you might end up creating a readable font by using the pincel tool (dot by dot).

Also i have used a trial version of the following utility to create nice icons (32*32 pixel) for labview. Try it

On the panel, double click the icon to bring up the icon editor.

Double click the latter A to go to the icon editor fonts menu & choose
your font. I like Small Fonts 10 point.

Explore the other options as well.

A good option is to drag & drop a bitmap to the icon, you won't have a descri`ptive text, for that you'll need to write with small fonts, but you'll have nice icons with descriptive drawings.

I have found the easiest way to do this is, 1st write it in Word. Then set the Word view to 75%. Hit the "Print Scrn" button. Go back to labview and select "paste" in the "edit" portion of your icon editor. You can then use your mouse to grab and drag the picture to the view you want. This works with pictures as well.

@Jellybeans: I don't see the editor at that ImpactSoft link.

This is a thread from 2001.  It would be quite surprising if a link from back then still worked.

Perhaps start a thread with your actual issue.  In the last 22 years there has been a lot of development of the official LabVIEW icon editor as well as a few alternate ones if you don't like the official one.

Search for "Microangelo" -- it should take you to ImpactSoftware's Microangelo page.
