I have a perl script that regularly scrapes the NI website.
English LV2017 64 bits is ID 6698 and 32 bits is ID 6679, on the generic URL http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/<ID_HERE>/lang/en.

Is it a good idea to admit that? In general, most website TOS forbids activities of that nature.

I'm not scraping/crawling the whole website, just checking for the existence of some URLs.
The top level robots.txt has an entry for crawdelay, thus they are expected to be crawled.
The path to the URLs I'm checking for is not disallowed in the robots.txt file, thus it should be OK to do it.

You wouldn't happen to have 2017 device drivers would you? I Found several things while guessing IDs but didn't find it. Of course I can wait a week if not.

If I can't get the NI License Manager to accept my license code for LV2017, should I assume that means a) NI hasn't allowed registration until Tuesday/Thursday/some other time relating to NIWeek (and nobody else can get it to work either - 'Evaluate' is an available option for me) or b) my institution's licence isn't valid for 2017's version (yet?) (and everyone else has no problem, in which case I'll email my IT department)

I would guess A. And to be honest, it might be the following week before the activation works. NI has to update their registration servers after all.

I guess that you shouldn't expect, that registration will work before official release; so just keep patience, and wait till next week

Not only part of the top feature list, it was actually labeled as the top feature of 2014. And NI marketing has been made fun of for this ever since.
It was someone making a word choice mistake. They meant "first" as in "the first three small features that we're going to talk about". The person used "top" as in "top of list". Novice mistake.

Finally getting around to installing LV 2017 and I realized the great new feature that had escaped me before now.
