I logged into NI and downloaded LabVIEW 2020 SP1 for the Mac.
Installed and ran labview and got an Activate PopUp request.
After clicking , a NI login request.
After logging in, get the following message:
"You have been authenticated. You may close this window."
Then a popup:
"Unable to verify LabVIEW Community Edition entitlement."
"Please login to ni.com and redownload LabVIEW Community Edition."
I repeated the same procedure and got the same messages.
What am I doing wrong?
Solved! Go to Solution.

I just noticed that when installing I am getting this error in the terminal although it had appeared to be installed successfully, maybe it is the reason it doesn't work fine in my case.

oops nvm.

Seems very likely that the failed installation of these drivers might be the culprit. The license check needs to do some things such as querying the hardware profile of your system, which would be the nisyscfg-runtime together with the nisysapi, and the phone-home connection to request a valid activation would be likely through the wsrepl from WebService reply or similar.
niavahi is the NI compilation of the avahi zero configuration networking discovery service. As such it is probably not directly responsible for the failed activation but failing to install that will cause other problems later on.

I'm also experiencing this issue with Ubuntu 20.04 without any errors during installation.

I was having the same problem with activation, but also seemed to have trouble just logging into my NI account. I used the "forgotten password" link and changed my password, but still no luck.
I was using Safari so I thought I would try Chrome, but exactly the same thing. I then tried Firefox and surprisingly it let me log in instantly without problem, but I still couldn't activate LabVIEW.
This was using my personal NI account, I also had another account I set up years ago under my business email address. I tried using this account and success!!!! LabVIEW is now activated.
Not sure what fixed it in the end, either the browser or a different account. I had previously installed the Beta of the Community Edition but removed it, not sure if this was causing problems,
