LabVeiw Pro can you export to stand alone system

My company is looking to buy LabVeiw but we have never done it before I am in charge of learning the software.  What I don't understand is do you have to program at the machine or can you program at desk and export like a run file for the machine to use?...I don't want the operators modifying code.

Yep! You can build an executable and an installer using the Application Builder, which is included with LabVIEW Pro:

I use it for that all the time. The only time I use the dev machine is to create the code. I rarely run code to do "actual work" from the dev environment.
