I have a DIGIPLAN CD-20 stepper motor drive system. Im using it to control two stepper motors. The problem is that the drive system has 10833a gpib bus connector and i have a PCI-6024e DAQ card.
How can i connect this motor drive to my daq card and program it using labview?
Can i directly connect this motor drive to my pc (without going through DAQ card) and program it directly using labview? (using VISA, Serial etc). I have searched and found some GPIB to usb connectors. if i tried, can i use those connectors? or would i need a controller for interface?
any other ideas about how to program this drive using labview?

Hi there,
P.12 of the manual mentions that the CD-20 drive will need "step pulses" to control it. Usually you need a indexer or motion controller to generate these pulses. My company has a solution for this, you can see here for more info: https://geco-lv.com/emotion.html
