I am a student in an engineering school and I started working with labview.

I have to develop a labview program in order to control the 4200-SCS. I downloaded the drivers from tektronix website and when I try to run the example given with the drivers, I have this message: " ERROR: KI 4200 not detected. This program will be terminated. Make sure that 4200 is powered on, connected to GPIB bus, KXCI is running, and correct GPIB address is indicated". I verified what it said but everything is correctly connected.

Please attach your code so we can look at it to ensure you're properly initializing the instrument.

This is not my code, but an example available with  the drivers which is supposed to work if connected to the 4200-SCS properly.

I join the .llb where you can find this example. it is called "KI4200.vi"

Problem solved!

The problem came from the GPIB-USB cable. I changed it and everything went perfect.
