Legacy DAQ to DAQmx

I have a LabView 8 program, which I'm currently transitioning to 2015.

It uses the old legacy DAQ, and I'd like to move it to the new DAQmx. But I'm having difficultuies figuring out what the previous devloper did. Specifically I'm having a hard time finding documentation on "Port Config", and how that transitions to the new API.

Can anybody provide me anymore insight?

You should think about creating your new VI from scratch than just "upgrading" the DAQ part!
