Linnux application builder

I have two different OS versions (Mac and Windows) of Labview and Application Builder.  Can a VI be compiled in Linnux with the Linnux Application Builder or do I have to buy the Linnux Labview as well?

Hey Raymond,
I apologize, but I am not fully understanding your question.  Application Builder is an addition to LabVIEW, not a separate software program.   Therefore, LabVIEW would have to be present on the Linux system in order for you to do anything with a VI.

Thank you Brian,

I hate to buy two expensive programs just to compile a virtual instrument that has already been written in Labview.  Is there a listing of people or developers that will write the application in Linnux for a fee?

Hey Raymond,
I found a couple of really good documents from our website about transferring LabVIEW programs between platforms.  They are both KnowledgeBase articles.  Here are the links:
Are Stand-alone Applications Built with Application Builder Platform Independent?
Requirements For Transferring LabVIEW VIs Between Platforms

Also, there are companies available to perform LabVIEW programming for you for a fee.  They are called National Instruments Alliance Members.  Please check out ni.com/alliance to find a member within your area.

Thank you Brian,

The articles linked indicate that there is the additional problem of keeping track of OS specific features which are not transportable.

I am familiar with the Alliance and the Developers List but it was not my impression that there was an indication of the platforms they represented.
