Matlab power calculation for IQ RX with 0 gain

good morning. I have IQ component symbols from Rx "USRP device" with 0 gain and I want to calculate the power represented by each IQ symbol on Matlab can you provide me with any formula to be used to move from IQ to dbm? starting from my signal "s_t=I+iQ complex RX"

Not sure why you are asking a matlab question in the LabVIEW forum, but for anything USRP related, there is a dedicated forum

I can move your post there if you want. Just let me know.

Well, your question is theoretical and independent of any programming language. Are you using the communication design suite?

I am using Matlab to analyze samples given by my professor which were taken using the USRP device and given to me as a file as an IQ complex vector. I am reading them using fopen and fread matlab commands

he told me that these samples represent "v peak to peak " and he talked about a scaling factor of 0.6 and that I should normalize my signal first but I am not sure how to proceed

I want to build an energy detector but in order to do that I need to convert these samples to dbm
