Missing Sound and Vibration VI's?

Solved!
Go to solution

Looking through all the examples in the Sound and Vibration Toolkit, and go to load the SVXMPL_Sound Level Meter (DAQmx).vi and it tells me there are several files that could not be found.  They are:

SoundVib_Octave.lvlib

SoundVib_ABCWeighting.lvlib

SoundVib_SoundLevel.lvlib

Further investigation looks like they're part of another "Audio" toolkit?  How is this not part of the SV Toolkit?

I am guessing that you have the Basic - NI Sound and Vibration Toolkit, but you don't have the Enhanced - NI Sound and Vibration Measurment Suite.  is that correct?  All the files not found seems to perform analysis, whiich should be included in the higher level toolkit.  Download the eval version and see woudl that help. You can download from link below.

Sorry, but I don't see where there are two versions of the SV Toolkit.  I know we paid extra for the license for this kit, on the order of $1750.  Doesn't seem like that is the "basic" version.

Hi John,

You can verify if you have Toolkit ("basic") or Suite in the NI License Manager. I've attached a screenshot. Whichever one has a full, green square next to it is fully activated. Hope this helps!

As it turns out, we have the suite, and I now have it loaded and licensed.

Now, for another question, but first some background:  I was playing around with one of the SV toolkit examples "SVA_Order Analysis - Engine Runup.seproj" when labview locked up.  I closed, and restarted, but the project would not reload - examination shows it to be 0kb on my disk.  I tried reinstalling, but it didn't fix the issue.

Is it possible to get this project off the DVD's without doing a fresh install?

Hi John,

I've included the project. Please replace yours with this one and let me know if it works. Thanks!
