Hello, I am an University student learning to develop thermal power plant models and would like to use the model interface toolkit in LabVIEW community edition. Is it possible?

Hi
The Model Interface Toolkit ( MIT ) is a glue-like tool that enables Simulink, VeriStand, LabVIEW and some Real Time Hardware to work together.
The last version was from 2021 for LV 2021 SP1, but out of nowhere NI released a new version for LV 2024 Q1. Albeit with no Release Note, so difficult to say what has changed.
Maybe some in management discovered that the LV CDS module was discontinued in 2023 and thought MIT might be usable, quote from the download page :
The LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit is a software add-on that uses the VeriStand model framework. With this add-on, you can integrate simulation models and control algorithms from a variety of software environments into LabVIEW and the LabVIEW Real-Time Module. You can import control algorithms and system models from the LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module as well as third-party modeling environments, such as The MathWorks, Inc. Simulink® software and C/C++

I forgot to point to a problem with Community and MIT.
LabVIEW Community is 32 bits only.
MIT is 64 bits only since the 2021 version.
So the only common 32 bits version for both is the 2020 versions. Whether they do work together, I don't know. Haven't tried.
