NI-9207 Wiring of self powered and loop powered transducers
I am using a NI-9207 to collect 4-20mA current signals from two different devices. I have wired up the two wire transducer like this:
So now that this sensor is wired up and the power supply is connected, I want to wire a self-powered sensor (In this case a 4-20mA signal coming from a mass flow controller). So I think it should go like this:
A snippet of the pin definitions in the manual is shown. My question is whether or not I will have problems connecting both configurations to the daq card at the same time. Will I have problems since the mass flow controller is already powered, could that lead to problems since there is another power supply on the self-powered sensor? Do I need to get a separate module to connect the self powered sensors?
