NI Max to LinuxRT unable to open port

Hi All,

 

I am trying to install software into my PXIe 8840. we just upgraded it to LinuxRT. 

Everytime i try to install other software, it would not allow me to get past below

i am on windows 11.

Not a LabVIEW question, BUT seems easy enough to answer.  The firewall is blocking a port and you need to create a rule for that port.  How you do that depends on what firewall you are using.

My dilemma was i dont control the IT side of things. I dont even have full control of my laptop. 

 

the fix:

there was an entry in my laptopwindows firewall inbound rules, to block all communication from c:\program files\National Instruments\Shared\WebServer\httpd (2 out of 30). once everything is set to allow, i could update the controller software.

we have the same problem and we created the rule but it still doesn't work.

Can you share details of rule? 

did you set Any or TCP in protocol value?
