When I started LabVIEW today I got a popup dialog box for the NI Update Service which told me to install the following patches: LabVIEW 2011 SP1 F1 32-bit Patch and LabVIEW 2011 RT Engine 5.6.1 F5 Patch. The tool was running with the progress bar advancing along when I tried to access the help menu to find out more out what I was doing. I guess it needed to go out on the internet and in the process of doing so I was told I needed administrator privilege to do so and the whole thing exited. So I don't think the 2 patches were installed. First of all, I believe that, since this is a company computer I will have to get administrator privilege to use this tool and install the updates. But to do that I will have to access this tool once again when I do get administrator privilege and I have no idea how to access this tool once again - where is it? The helps file were no help. I did go to the NI downloads area and searched for these patches and could not find either one!
