I recently had an issue with .Net within a project. Suddenly, the controls show that they could not be loaded in red text, see pic, and .Net invoke nodes would fail with an Error #1.
I tried recreating the objects. I event deleted all the .Net object, properties, invokes, everything, then saving and restarting LabVIEW. Still, when I drop in a picture control, the control still says say the control could not be loaded. It tried dropping in a .Net container, which seemed fine, until I tried to insert a .Net control, which caused LabVIEW to crash. I even tried NIs .Net examples and they were failing with the Error #1. Then I closed LabVIEW and opened only the same NI examples, without having the bad project open and they now worked. It looks like opening the examples while the project is open would open the VIs within the context of that project.
I ended up deleting everything .Net related from my VIs, created a new project, copied the VIs into it, then recreated all the .Net controls, invokes, and properties that I had used previously. This worked.
