PDA X Button

I know this has been posted before but I wondered if the later versions of pda module offer any resolution?

If the user taps the X button (minimise), is there a way to trap this event. I am having the same old problem of the user not shutting down the application correctly.

I want to avoid loading the main app as a subvi (to prevent the X being displayed), because this causes two programs to appear in the 'running programs' list.

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Hi,

The PDA module doesn't support the Front Panel Window State Property, so I don't think this is possible directly. However, you could hide the X altogether using the method described in a link within the thread below, and thus forcing the user to stop the VI by using the Stop button within the VI's front panel itself. I hope this is of use to you.

Thanks Dan but as stated in my original post, I want to avoid using the subvi call method as this results in more than one appication being displayed in the running tasks list.

Hi ssk,

In this case I dont know if you will be able to get the desired effect that you're looking to see because of the lack of support for the Front Panel Window State Property.

Apologies for any inconvience this may cause. Regards,

Dan
