PXI-2530 and PXI 1042 problems

Hello there

I have a PXI-2530 multiplexer, and a PXI 1042 classic.

Of course, the 2530 is inserted in PXI 1042.

The 1042 is connected with a PC using 8361 and 8360, and functioning normally.

However the 2530 multiplexer is unable to be indentified by NI-MAX.

The driver to 2530 （DAQmx）has been setup but it does not work.

Please tell me the solution to this problem.

did you call NI tech support? What did they suggest?

Wow -- I just searched the Web for PXI-2350 and there is almost nothing there!  It does not appear to be a "typical" MAX device, but looks to be a Switch (duh) of some sort.  There was one reference to "Switch Soft Front Panel" and "NI Switch Executive Virtual Devices" visible from MAX, but not much explanation.  I agree that calling NI may be your best bet ...

Em, thank you for all your advices, but shall i use NISE instead of NI max??

Hi wasd,

NISE aka SignalExpress and MAX serve different purposes, you cannot use one or the other!

You (need to) use MAX to configure NI hardware…

Thanks, but after i setup the driver NI-switch, i still cannot find 2530 in NI-MAX.

Other card are all indentified, except 2530

What shall i do then??
